DineTracer  /  Use cases  /  Staffing & Recruiting
For hospitality staffing agencies and recruiters

Reach a restaurant while it's hiring its first team.

A new restaurant hires most of its crew in the weeks before it opens. DineTracer finds restaurants in public filings during that window, so you can offer staff before the jobs are filled.

Free to start. No credit card.

Job boards show you a restaurant once it's already hiring.

By the time a new restaurant posts its jobs, every agency and recruiter in town sees the same listing.

Build-out permits, pre-opening inspections and new liquor and food-service licenses come earlier, and they're public. DineTracer turns them into leads with a date and an address, and checks for new filings every 4 hours.

What a staffing team gets

Restaurants about to open

Pre-opening inspections, build-out permits and new food-service and liquor licenses, each with its filing date.

An estimated opening window

Pre-opening leads show when the restaurant is likely to open, based on the filing type. It's an estimate, and some restaurants never open.

Business name, address and filing date, plus the business phone and website, and the owner or registered agent when a filing names one.

Your market

New-restaurant Monitors

Get new restaurants in your market by email every 4 hours, daily or weekly. Free to create. Each new lead a monitor emails you costs 25 credits ($0.50), the same as unlocking it, and you set the most leads per email. No charge when there's nothing new.

Where the data comes from

Built on public recordsEvery lead starts from a government record: a liquor-license filing, a building or health permit, or a business registration. Each one names the agency it came from. We add details from Google business listings and the business’s own website.
Owner contact when a filing names oneWhen a public business-registration filing lists an owner or registered agent, the lead can include their phone and email, which may be personal. A data provider does the matching. Numbers on Do-Not-Call lists are left out.

Questions

When does a new restaurant hire?
Usually in the last weeks before opening, though it varies. A build-out permit or liquor-license filing gives you a head start; a pre-opening inspection means opening is close.
How early do you find these restaurants?
It depends on the filing. Build-out permits and liquor-license filings usually show up weeks to months before opening. Pre-opening inspections show up days to weeks before.
Which states do you cover?
The Restaurant Database (liquor licenses) covers California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois (Chicago only), Massachusetts (Boston only), New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington and the District of Columbia. Early leads (pre-opening filings, build-out permits and new food-service licenses) add Delaware, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, North Carolina and Tennessee. The map on our home page shows what we have in each state.
Is this just big chains?
No. Most of the leads are independent restaurants.
Where does the data come from?
Public government records: liquor-license filings, building and health permits, and business registrations. We add details from Google business listings and the business's own website. When a public business-registration filing names an owner or registered agent, a data provider matches that person to a phone number and email address, which can be personal. Numbers on Do-Not-Call lists are left out. We don't scrape LinkedIn, social networks or people-search websites.
