DineTracer  /  About

We read public filings so you can call first.

DineTracer finds restaurants that are about to open or just opened, in the records cities and states publish, and turns them into sales leads for the companies that sell to them.

Martin Vasquez, founder of DineTracer

Hi, I’m Martin. I built DineTracer.

I’m a solo founder. I built this because I kept seeing vendors lose good restaurant accounts by finding out too late. Everyone sells to restaurants that already exist. Very few reach them the week they file to open, when there’s no incumbent to beat. So I built a way to read those public filings as soon as they’re published.

It’s just me right now. If a lead looks off or you want a state I don’t cover yet, email me directly and I’ll reply.

Where the data comes from

Public recordsLiquor-license filings, building and health permits, health inspections and business registrations, from the agencies that publish them. We check for new filings every 4 hours.
Business detailsGoogle business listings and the business’s own website add a phone number, website and opening hours. When a business-registration filing names an owner or registered agent, a data provider matches that person to a phone number and email address.
